There is an intermittent X18 bus service between Alnmouth village and Alnmouth station which only operates in the evenings on weekdays and Saturdays. The bus service runs throughout the day on Sundays.

Walking from the Station
The station is about 30 mins walk with luggage and about 15 mins without. The road to the station from the roundabout on the A1068 is uphill for a good 500 metres.
Trains are frequent and direct. Edinburgh is about an hour away, Newcastle is 30 mins and London between 3 and 1/2 and 4 hours away.
There are Cross Country trains which go to the South West branching off after York and then on to various major cities to Birmingham and then to the South West and Penzance stopping at major towns and cities on the way. Trains also leave for Manchester Airport and Carlisle from Newcastle
